What is the purpose of a yard ramp?

Yard ramps have several advantages over concrete ramps. A yard ramp is a type of specialty ramp that essentially serves as a portable loading dock. The ramp can be transported anywhere in a shipping and receiving yard to ensure forklift operators have access to trailers or shipping containers, making loading and unloading significantly easier.
