The new consolidated distribution facility for Aramex at Richmond Park in Cape Town is on track for trading to commence on 1 June 2021. Aramex, a leading global provider of comprehensive logistics and transportation solutions, is consolidating its two existing Cape Town facilities into one custom, fit-for-purpose 9 240sqm facility. Stab-A-Load nominated their distributor in the Western cape Unicape to install their world class materials handling equipment, the equipment installed was 2 x LX 710 Docklevellers as well as 28 of their their well-known Richard Wilcox Insulated Sectional Doors!! The importance of a Dock Leveler at any facility is simple, a dock leveler fills in the gap between trucks and your loading docks so that forklifts can safely go in and out of the trucks to load and unload them. The vertical rising action of a sectional door means there is no 'swing-out', enabling vehicles to be parked right up against the door or for stock to be piled next to it on the inside, making it easier to load goods. This helps maximize space, particularly in loading and vehicle docking bays, an insulated sectional door keeps heat from escaping in the winter and prevents hot air from entering your facility in warmer temperatures. A moderate temperature inside the facility reduces the amount of energy needed to keep a constant temperature!
